Thinking about my future in the next five years... to be honest, I will be thrilled to complete my PIDP. I am 51 and embrace every opportunity to learn new things. My journey as an instructor/teacher/mentor has expanded and grown far beyond where I thought I would be at this stage. I find myself struggling as many of my peer teachers do... when students in my workshops are resistant to learning. I take on assume that everything that occurs in my classroom is my responsibility. What is Justifiable Power and Authority in the adult learning environment? I work in adult learning environments and do feel that most students are aware of where the power lies. We exercise power in many ways... the way we manage our classroom, the way we deal with conflicts, the way we follow policies. Our students are observing.
