Who is Romy?
Welcome to Romy's learning hub! I believe that learning never stops, and I am here to share my thoughts and ideals around the adult learning and facilitating experience.
I am a lifelong learner and am excited to share my knowledge with others. My interest in facilitation began at the age of 13 where I began teaching my peers as an Army Cadet. I had the opportunity to develop the skills early on to stand in front of a room confidently. My Cadet journey was completed when I turned 19. Then began my adventure as a reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces where I worked my way up to the rank of Captain beginning in 1995. That journey continued for 25 years. I was provided with many adventures, invaluable skills, leadership development and facilitation experience.
I was additionally passionate about first aid and developed my first aid skills for over 30 years allowing me to become a train the trainer facilitator for WorkSafe BC, St. John Ambulance and the Justice Institute of BC.

My journeys have provided me many different techniques in facilitation. I look forward to the opportunity to network and share. There is so much more to learn out there!
