Trends in Adult Education. Neuroscience?

Over the past few years there has been an increasing amount of language around Neuroscience in the Adult education world. What is it, and how does it benefit us a facilitators to have an understanding of how the adult student learns? As we continue to navigate our journeys in adult education, the methods in which we deliver our courses are changing. We are now heavily technology based, our students are expecting high quality experiences. The YouTube video is a quick into to using Neuroscience to improve adult learning. I look forward to discussing this further.

The next article I found helpful as many workshops I teach are virtual. That seems to be the way of the future, and knowing how the adult brain learns can be helpful for us in developing and delivering virtual curriculum. We know our brain is the control system of our body, continually tracking inside and outside functions. The brain frequently expands its neural networks learning as it receives new information. Studies by Piaget suggest that our thinking changes as we age, in particular wisdom, post-formal thought, and lastly reasoning. I hope you find this material as helpful as I did.
